About

Completion of this course provides a learner driver with 20 hours towards the required driving hours needed to obtain an ACT provisional car licence. The course is not compulsory to obtain your provisional licence. However, the course equips new drivers to better manage risks when driving, especially within their first six months on the road as an independent driver. The first six months of a provisional driver’s life is when new drivers are most at risk.

This course will educate drivers on safe driving behaviours and promotes attitudes that produce a safer environment for all drivers on the road. The course will also discuss peer influence and passenger behaviours to encourage safe decision-making when the learner driver transitions from being a supervised driver to an independent driver.

After the classroom component (Module 1), the student will complete a one-hour driving session (Module 2) with an Accredited Driving and another student Instructor to apply what they have learned.
